Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.

There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:
● Wheezing (a whistling sound when breathing) ● Breathlessness ● A tight chest, which may feel like a band is tightening around it ● Coughing
The symptoms can sometimes get temporarily worse. This is known as an asthma attack.
Several conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it’s important to get a proper diagnosis and correct treatment.
Your GP will usually be able to diagnose asthma by asking about symptoms and carrying out some simple tests.
Treatments
The main types are:
● Reliever inhalers – used when needed to quickly relieve asthma symptoms (salbutamol) ● Preventer inhalers (steroid) – used every day to prevent asthma symptoms occurring ● Some people also need to take tablets.
Causes and triggers
Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) of the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. This makes the tubes highly sensitive, so they temporarily narrow.
It may occur randomly or after exposure to a trigger. Common asthma triggers include:

Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The following side effects may happen with this medicine:

Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). is an inhaler containing salbutamol. Inhalers are made of a gel containing a beta-salicylic acid. They are pressurised to release medication into the air when used.
Ventolin HFA is used to treat breathing problems in adults and children aged 18 and over. It is used to treat symptoms of wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems such as tight chest and difficulty breathing, or coughing up blood or mucus in the lungs, coughing up mucous in the face, ears or nose, wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing up blood or dust in the nose, and chest pain. Ventolin HFA is used to treat shortness of breath caused by cough and shortness of breath caused by coughing up mucus in the nose.
Directions: Shake the inhaler well before use. Check the spacer device is tight when you use Ventolin HFA. Ventolin HFA should be measured in millimeters (MG) in the airways. Measure the medicine in the mouth and lungs twice. Take the inhaler dose with water. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours. Take this inhaler every day for the shortest time you can help stop the symptoms of breathing problems.
Ingredients: Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and sodium benzoate are main active ingredients of Ventolin HFA. These are responsible for preventing the inflammation of the bronchial tubes and airways. Also, they are used to treat the symptoms of wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems in adults and children aged 18 and over.
Ventolin HFA is not meant to be used to prevent breathing problems or help with cough and shortness of breath.
Precautions: Do not use in the eyes, nose, throat, eyes, mouth, genitals, lungs, stomach or intestine. Do not use in children under 18 years of age.
You must not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this medicine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without getting pregnant.
This medicine is not safe if taken by women and children under the age of 18 years. Do not use if you have a known allergy to salbutamol or other bronchodilators or if you have severe kidney disease or a history of hemophilia in patients with a history of blood dyscrasdion. Check with your doctor if you are breastfeeding without getting pregnant.
